SCRIPT MARKET ’09

Script market is coming this coming Friday!

We are looking out for two groups of people in our upcoming Script Market (part of nuSTUDIOS Incubator Programme).

No.1. If you have a script idea, or a script in hand, or if you are a budding scriptwriter, then come on down to the pitching session held during Script Market. Additionally, if you have friends who are excellent scriptwriters (they do not need to be nuSTUDIOS members =)) just call them down too! Completed scripts are not required as long as you have an idea and a story to tell.

Following the Script Market, selected shortlisted scripts and ideas will undergo further development with our resident tutor and established scriptwriter, Lee Thean-jeen (Calefare, After Hours).

If you are pitching your script, please submit your script ideas on this online form http://www.nustudios.org/scriptmarket before next Wednesday, 25 March 2009 so that we can schedule you accordingly.

If you need help in developing your script ideas, you may come down for a script mentorship session to meet Ian, our Scriptwriting Head, on every Wednesday, at 6pm at nuSTUDIOS room.

No.2. Calling all budding filmmakers interested in directing, producing, cinematographing, editing, sound mixing, lighting, acting…etc. Come on down to Script Market to find projects that you may be interested to take up in the summer vacation. The teams formed on that day will be provided guidance and technical assistance during the production period (May-July).

If you fit into any of the above groups, come down for Script Market next Friday!
Please RSVP at http://www.nustudios.org/scriptmarket

Date: 27 March 2009, Friday
Time: 8 PM (Come Early!)
Venue: Activity Room, CFA Studios Basement (next to nuSTUDIOS‘ Studio 3)

THIS IS WHAT BEING A NUSTUDIOS MEMBER IS ALL ABOUT, SO DO COME DOWN THIS FRIDAY!

PAST EVENTS

Previously…

For the past 2 Wednesdays on the 4th and 11th of March, nuSTUDIOS had its final sessions of WE ? FILMS and  Scriptwriting Workshop.

Little Miss Sunshine was the film screened at the last session of WE ? FILMS. All the members present had a great time as we followed the dysfunctional Hover family and its members embarking on a trip to send their youngest daughter to a beauty pageant.

At the final session of the Scriptwriting Workshop series, participants shared their scripts with everyone who was present. Ian gave some advices to all participants and encouraged all to continue refining their scripts.

MANY ?s AND THANKS!!! (from nuSTUDIOS)

The nuSTUDIOS exco would like to thank the members who had taken time off and come for the workshops and WE ? FILMS sessions! We hope you really enjoyed attending these sessions, and we will strive harder for all of the events to come!

Ian Goh, our scriptwriting head, has also something to say:

Thank you to everyone who came down for the workshops and prayed for it!

Script Mentorship

If you have any general queries or questions, i will try my best to answer them leading up to script market. =)
