Film School is the annual training programme for all new nuSTUDIOS members on basic filmmaking, camera, lights, sound and editing skills. These skills are essential for any role in any future productions. A must-have but only limited places are available! (Application is now closed.)

Film School Application Criteria

Update: You can create the video in pairs together with a friend. Just let us know your names in the email.

Create a 1 minute video using a handphone camera, digital camera, web camera or any other device, upload to YouTube or Facebook, or upload to www.yousendit.com, and send the link to filmschool@nustudios.org. Please include your full name and matric number in the email.

Deadline: 23 August 2009 (Sunday)

Your video has to address the following questions:

  1. Why do you want to join nuSTUDIOS?
  2. How passionate are you in film making?
  3. Choose ONE of the following questions:
  • What is your favourite movie and why do you like it?
  • Do you support Hollywood and/or Singapore films? And why?
  • If you are a director, what kind of film genre will you make?

You do not need appear in the video all the time – use your creativity and express your answers sincerely to the questions in various ways e.g. voiceovers, sceneries etc. Just be as innovative and creative as possible! The best videos will be accessed and given opportunity to join Film School.
